How would you like to make $18 million a year and still not be the top breadwinner in your house? That’s the case for Tom Brady.
Brady’s wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, is making more than double the cash he’s bringing home, according to Forbes.
The money magazine ranks Bundchen, the world’s highest-paid model , and says her runway work and cover photos earned $45 million a year. Her husband, Tom Brady, star quarterback for the New England Patriots, contributed $31 million of the total sum from his new four-year, $72 million contract. Bundchen and Brady brought home a combined $76 million between May 2010 and May 2011.
Together their earnings beat out musical power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z to rank them the highest paid celebrity couple according to Forbes magazine. We can’t think of any other athlete whose spouse makes such a significant contribution to the family piggy bank. David and Victoria Beckhams’ best earning years are behind them.
