Kathie Lee Gifford announced that Regis Philbin will be joining her during the fourth hour of “Today,” making Wednesday the first time the dynamic duo will co-host together in twelve years.
Though both Gifford and Philbin have appeared on one another’s respective television shows in recent years, they have not actually co-hosted a program together since Gifford left “Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee” in 2000.
“We just pick up where we left off,” Gifford said. Gifford added that Philbin said he did not want to attend the show’s pre-production meeting on Wednesday, jokingly asking her, “Who’s going to tell Regis what to say?”
“We’re just going to let him show up and let the sparks fly. Should be fun!” Gifford said.
