The Duchess of Cambridge , Kate Middleton, tops the Vanity Fair best-dressed list this year.
The magazine lauds Kate’s recognition of British designers — Alexander McQueen, Alice Temperley and Matthew Williamson among them — as well as her ability to mix high- and lower-end styles.
Joining Kate is her brother-in-law,Prince Harry, who makes the list for the first time ever (but there’s no mention of Prince William).
Hollywood has plenty of representation as well: newcomer Jessica Chastain also lands atop the list, joined by Diane Kruger, Fan Bingbing, plus Colin Firth and his eco-conscious wife, Livia. Jay-Z and Alicia Keys represent the music world, while New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz earn props for their off-field looks.
Matt Lauer, Alice + Olivia’s Stacey Bendet and designer Stella McCartney are also applauded for their senses of style. Sadly, Mr. Divabetic’s world fruit suit and Katy Perry were not mentioned.
