Most of us just aren’t eating enough fruits and vegetables. Rich in vitamins, nutrients, antioxidants, fiber, and water, it’s hard to understand how so many can resist that gorgeous nutritional profile. If you’re failing to get your 5 A Day, here’s one tip to help you eat more fruits and veggies:
Why not try replacing one bread serving a day with a fruit or vegetable? You’ll be a step ahead if you switch from white bread to a lettuce wrap. Instead of bread or tortillas, make your next sandwich, burger or wrap inside a leafy green. Stack 2 or 3 large, leafy greens such as Bibb lettuce, romaine, red lettuce, cabbage, or radicchio and pile on the fixings. Enjoy the added crunch factor. It’s great way to cut back on your carbs intake too.
