Mr. Divabetic is one of several male models set to glide down the runway in the Pink Bow Tie fashion show. The Pink Bow Tie is a New York City campaign, born from the need for male participation in Breast Cancer Awareness month. It is a simple idea, the Pink Bow Tie is the new way for men to show their support in the fight against Breast Cancer by wearing it proudly during the month of October. It is also a way to generate money for Breast Cancer Research, as the proceeds from each Pink Bow Tie will go to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
The busy healthcare host, Mr. Divabetic, also is making an appearance at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. This annual event unites communities to celebrate people who have battled breast cancer, educate people about ways to reduce their risk, and brings us all one step closer to a cure and new treatments. Since 1993, nearly 7 million walkers have raised more than $400 million to help fight breast cancer by participating in non-competitive, 3- to 5-mile events.
