These are just some of the thoughts we’ve been having as we scratch our heads over the news broke that our Diva Inspiration for December, Anne Hathaway had a major wardrobe malfunction at the recent Les Miserables premiere.

We thought most  A List actresses wore eight layers of SPANX under their dresses!

Anne Hathaway was asked about the incident on the Today show and she told Matt Lauer, “It was obviously an unfortunate incident [and] it kind of made me sad that we live in an age when someone takes a pic of you in a vulnerable moment and sells it rather than deletes it.”

“I’m sorry that we live in a culture that commodifies unwilling participants,” she added before finding a silver lining and bringing the experience back around to the project she’s promoting.

“It makes me think about the character I play in Les Mis actually,” Anne said. “She is someone who is forced to sell sex to benefit her child, so let’s get back to Les Mis.”

The actress also commented on the situation yesterday, telling Vanity Fair’s Ingrid Sischy: “I was getting out of the car and my dress was so tight that I didn’t realize it until I saw all the photographers’ flashes. It was devastating. They saw everything. I might as well have lifted up my skirt for them.”

Taylor Swift Tops Forbes Highest Paid Musicians List

Divabetic’s September Diva Inspiration Taylor Swift, Dr. Dre, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber are in the top 10 of Forbes’s 2012 list of  highest paid musicians based on income they generated between May 2011 to May 2012.

Rihanna brought in an estimated $53 million, followed by Lady Gaga, who earned $52 million. Sure, that’s not quite as much as Dre’s $110 million, Britney’s $58 million, Taylor’s $57 million or the Biebs’ $55 million, but it’s still a pretty penny.

Diddy raked in an estimated $45 million, followed by Katy Perry with $45 million. Power couple Beyoncé ($40 million) and Jay-Z ($38 million) will surely be able to spoil Blue Ivywith their combined earnings.

The Awful Truth About Kelly Clarkson

One of our favorite divas, Kelly Clarkson is fuming about being misquoted several times in the U.K. Mirror.

The singer and first “American Idol” winner covered the “Sunday Celebs” insert of the Mirror, reports Billboard, with a headline reading: “No one on the planet should be as famous as me.”

Clarkson took to Twitter on Monday, telling her followers that she never made such a statement. She also knocked down the magazine’s report that she battled anorexia.

“I have never had anorexia nor did I ever say ‘no one should be as famous as me,’” said Clarkson. “I said in the interview, when asked about fame, that I have no desire to be as famous as Britney [Spears] or Madonna. I said that kind of fame was too much for any person and that I have experienced a portion of what they deal with and that I didn’t handle that well and I’m happy where I’m at in my career. Nice job Mirror.”

Clarkson, who just released her new album “Greatest Hits: Chapter One,” is s celebrating the major milestone of 10 successful years as a recording artist.

Clarkson found immediate success in mainstream pop music following her 2002 win as the best voice in America, setting the bar at a lofty height for hopefuls following in her rise to fame via the popular reality competition series. The singer has scored three solo Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles — including the 2011 mega hit, ‘Stronger’ — and has sold more than 11 million albums with five studio releases since.

Christina Aguilera’s AMA Performance Proves She’s Lost Her X-Factor

Christina Aguilera proved why her career is in a nose dive with her underwhelming performance at the American Music Awards. Next stop, Altantic City?  Christina’s cleavage alone could have stopped the show in the plunging neckline piece but most of us watching were hoping to hear her pipes!!  Unfortunately her performance featuring Pitbull on the track Feel This Moment included an awkward, rocky routine from her dancers who had  the words ‘Freak’ and ‘Queen’ labelled on their heads.

While Christina disappointed many ‘diva’ fans on stage,  Pink left us screaming for more!  For those who thought Pink couldn’t possibly top her 2010 Grammy Awards performance of “Glitter In The Air”–where she performed upside down, suspended in mid-air, and nearly naked–the feisty singer did a good job of taking it to the next level with her amazing performance of the song “Try.”

 Pink and her equally talented male counterpart dancer, Colt Prattes, did a remarkable job of re-creating the entire “Try” video, which the star has noted is her “favorite video ever.” The performance–which likely took numerous takes during the making of the video to accomplish–was completed flawlessly on stage. Pink performs a remarkable upside-down balancing act on Prattes’s shoulders, as well as completes a round of intensely athletic “fighting sequence” movements, all without barely smudging her rainbow-colored makeup.  The dance progresses to a climactic moment where the pair throw each other into furniture while flames flicker in the background…only to rise up and, presumably, try again. AWESOME!!

Justin Bieber & Nicki Minaj Win Big At the American Music Awards

Justin Bieber dominated the 40th American Music Awards. Bieber’s wins included the show’s top award, artist of the year. His mom joined him onstage as he collected the trophy, beating out Rihanna, Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Drake.

“I wanted to thank you for always believing in me,” Bieber said, looking to his mom.

The 18-year-old also won the honor in 2010. He said it’s “hard growing up with everyone watching me” and asked that people continue to believe in him.

He gave a stripped down, acoustic performance of “As Long As You Love Me,” then transitioned to the dance-heavy “Beauty and a Beat,” where Minaj joined him onstage, grinding with the teen for a few seconds.

Nicki Minaj who wore three different wigs and four outfits throughout the night, repeated her AMAs wins from last year, picking up trophies for favorite rap/hip-hop artist and album for “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.” She was in an all-white get-up, including fur coat and pink hair when she performed her new song “Freedom.” The scene was ghostly and snowy, as a choir – also in white – joined her onstage.

‘Today’ Show Suffering Because of Matt Lauer

Matt Lauer is so yesterday.

TV industry insiders say no amount of NBC executive reshuffling can save the embattled “Today” show — until its longtime co-host throws in the towel.

Lauer has been blamed for the show’s ratings woes, which intensified in June when co-host Ann Curry was suddenly ditched and replaced by Savannah Guthrie.

“This problem is not going to go away until Matt Lauer does,” a prominent former NBC News exec told the Daily News on Tuesday. “He’s great, but fairly or unfairly, his brand is damaged.”

The sentiment comes just as a new production team is poised to take over “Today,” which has fallen into second place this year behind archrival “Good Morning America” in the cutthroat ratings race.

Many in the television news industry believe that the show lost its dominant place in morning TV because it became stale under Bell’s watch.

“You look at ‘GMA’ and they’ve got it going. They come across like a family, and the approach is appealing and feels fresh,” a high-ranking TV news insider told The News on condition of anonymity. “They’ve got that morning TV chemistry, which the current regime at ‘Today’ just seems to have let slip away.”

Former co-host Katie Couric recently told The News that she believed another issue with “Today” was that the show had gotten too soft and lost part of its focus on hard news.

A good example of that was how, on this year’s anniversary of 9/11, Bell chose to air a mindless interview with Kim Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner — in which she rambled on about her breast implants — rather than air a moment of silence at Ground Zero.

Madonna Goes “Gangnam Style” In New York

Korean pop star PSY joined Madonna on stage during her second show at Madison Square Garden in New York. The duo danced to his pop culture anthem “Gangnam Style” and to her jam “Music” in front of nearly 20,000.

Madonna said PSY flew “all the way from Frankfurt, Germany this morning.” She also said she was a big fan of the rapper and loved his suit, which was bright red.

He added that he’s had a lot of experiences in the last few months, and that performing at MSG with Madonna topped his list.

Was She A Tragic or Truimphant Child Star?

Good grief!  You can’t seem to walk anywhere in New York City without having a picture of Lindsay Lohan staring back at you from a billboard. Lifetime has released thousands of  posters for its upcoming movie “Liz & Dick,” starring Lindsay Lohan asElizabeth Taylor, and it is one canny piece of marketing.

The poster features Lohan as the iconic Elizabeth Taylor, glammed up in a black dress and serious jewelry, on the left side and a bunch of buzzwords and phrases like “Controversial,” “Scandal,” “Tabloid Front Page” and “Child Star” next to her. So is Lifetime talking about its movie’s subject or its star?

Take your pick. The “Love Affairs” part applies much more to Taylor — Lohan’s other travails have received far more scrutiny than her love life — and “Leading Lady” probably does too. Taylor’s filmography by the time she was 26 years old – “National Velvet,” “Giant,” “A Place in the Sun” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” among others — trumps Lohan’s.

The other descriptors, though, could apply to either actress (though “diamonds,” given Lohan’s recent connection to a jewelry theft, is kind of unfortunate). Which is exactly what Lifetime wants — so, well-played, Lifetime.

But in many ways were still scratching our head over the movie’s casting choices. Elizabeth Taylor seemed to be so much more sophisticated on screen and off than Lindsay Lohan when she was Lindsay’s age. Maybe Liz benefited from not having the glare of the electronic media on her 24/7.

We’re not sure how we feel about Lindsay Lohan playing Elizabeth Taylor but we’re certain Russell Crowe would make an awesome Richard Burton!

Is Channing Tatum The ‘Sexiest Man Alive’?

Magic Mike star, Channing Tatum is considered the frontrunner to be announced as People Magazine’s  “Sexiest Man Alive” on November 14 — but the magazine is keeping mum for now.

“We never comment on who the Sexiest Man Alive is until the issue is revealed,” a rep for People said.

It’s a title that while flattering comes with inherent controversy. Last year Ryan Gosling fans actually protested outside of People’s headquarters in New York, because they were upset that Bradley Cooper was the magazine’s 2011 pick.

Cooper recently nominated Richard Gere to succeed him in 2012, but it doesn’t seem like that’s going to happen.

Channing Tatum and the other stars of “Magic Mike” might seem like sexy specimens on the big screen, but achieving that aura was a lot harder than it looks.

“Girls can just do it, just walking,” Tatum said to the Los Angeles Times about being sexy and alluring. “Guys, it’s not the same thing. Especially when you put them in a thong. Everything you’re trying to do to be sexy makes you look like a clown. I challenge any guy to go and try to be sexy to his girl. … It’s a very humbling experience.”
