California Pizza Kitchen Offers Gluten-Free Menu Items

Dining Out With A DietitianCalifornia Pizza Kitchen featured in the popular ‘Dining Out With A Dietitian’ segment on July’s free Diabetes Roundtable podcast has taken notice of the increased demand with more than 3 million Americans affected by Celiac Disease and created a specialty menu with various gluten free items.

Among the 29 different gluten free pizzas available is America’s favorite, The Original BBQ Chicken pizza, the Pear & Gorgonzola pizza and the Wild Mushroom pizza. California Pizza Kitchen also offers other gluten free appetizers, soups, salads, specialties, kids items and desserts to choose from on their current menu.

The happy healthcare  host, Mr. Divabetic ordered the new Quinoa Salad has quinoa, arugula, red onion, sun-dried tomatoes, asparagus and toasted pine nuts tossed in homemade champagne vinaigrette and topped with Feta. The segment also featured Judi Wilcox RD, CDE from Ann Arbor, MI.

Weight Watchers is considered to be one of the most successful weight loss programs of all time. With group support and a lenient eating program, it continues to prove very popular with participants of all ages and varied weight goals. The program’s eat-what-you-want approach teaches members an all-things-in-moderation approach rather than a “diet mentality.”

Many popular restaurants today list  Weight Watchers Points Plus menu labels next to a variety of menu items.  Weight Watchers points plus values are meant as a guideline only to help you make better choices when dining out.
