Superstar diva Cher surprised fans by debuting her new single “Woman’s World” late on Thanksgiving Day.
The upbeat dance single is the lead track from her upcoming new studio album, due out in 2013. The long-in-the-works Warner Bros. Records effort will be her first studio set since “Living Proof,” which was released in late 2001 in Europe and early the next year in the U.S.
Cher says that the new album is like her “Believe” set and it’s “Eclectic! Lots of dance, but none (are the) same kind of dance! Have big ass choruses, some heart rippers!” The entertainer has also mentioned previously that fellow leading ladies P!nk and Lady Gaga have written songs for the upcoming effort.
Cher is the only music act to have notched a No. 1 single on a Billboard chart in each of the last six decades.

Curvy Christina Auguilera, the woman who once ridiculed Kelly Osbourne about her weight, has become the center of a celebrity ‘make me look thin’ photoshop controversy.
Is it “Your Body” or is it Photoshop? some fans questioned when the picture of Christina Aguilera‘s new single cover was released. The star posted the photo of herself on Twitter. (We would post it too if we looked that good!)
“Can’t wait for you all to hear it. Here’s the single. #YourBody” the 31-year-old singer tweeted.
The photo depicts “The Voice” star, Christina Aguilera wearing a wrap dress that clings to her sides – a seemingly unforgiving dress if she was carrying even the slightest extra pound. Some fans aren’t surprised though, after rumors surfaced in March that the singer had lost weight and was getting back into shape.
Aguilera has had her fair share of enemies since her debut on “The Voice” and many have been critical of her weight which is why some have questioned whether the singer actually dropped the weight or simply had her photo digitally altered.
“Photoshop looks really good on her,” Theresa Weaver commented on the Huffington Post blog.
“My first thought as we know she has put on a bit of weight,” Classic Chic responded. “You can always count on the entertainment industry to perpetuate fake in order to get our money. They probably laugh at us all the way to the bank.”

Taylor Swift‘s new album Red, was released Monday featuring the single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” which landed her first #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The uptempo breakup track caught her fans’ attention immediately with its undeniable pop sound that had Swift teaming up with hitmakers Max Martin and Shellback.
Yet, Swift promises that when you listen to Red, nothing else on the album will sound like “Never Ever,” and that’s how she wanted it to be.
“This album is interesting because each song stands on its own,” Swift recently told MTV News. “It’s this patchwork quilt of different sounds and different emotions, and I don’t think anything on the record sounds like ‘Never Ever,’ and I’m really happy about that because each song is its own approach to what that particular emotion sounds like, and it’s a really, really different record from anything else I’ve ever done before.”
One of those sounds that had people talking is Swift’s incorporation of dubstep on the infectious track “I Knew You Were Trouble,” also produced by Martin and Shellback. The song, which Swift admits is her favorite on the album, tells the story of falling for someone you knew was wrong to begin with, and Swift knew that bringing a country-flared dubstep into the mix would bring to life the emotion she was trying to convey with this song.
“I brought in this chorus to Max Martin and Shellback and just kind of played it for them, and it was just piano/vocal, and I was like, ‘At the end of the chorus, I want it to just explode,’ and it ended up having a little bit of a flare to it that is reminiscent of dubstep,” Swift said. “It’s very subtle, but I’m really excited because it actually sounds like the intensity of that emotion that I wrote about.”

Adele‘s James Bond theme tune “Skyfall” failed in its mission to top the charts on the UK Pop Charts for a second week.
The Grammy winner, 24, was hot favorite to become the first singer to get to number one with a 007 theme.
But Scandinavian DJ supergroup Swedish House Mafia took the top spot with their track “Don’t You Worry Child”.
“Skyfall”, which debuted at number four last weekend, made second place.
No Bond theme has ever reached number one on the Official Singles Chart, but Duran Duran’s 1985 single “A View To A Kill” also reached number two.
Adele was prevented from reaching the top spot by Rihanna’s “Diamonds” last Sunday, which has now slipped to number four.
Mother-to-be Adele teamed up with Paul Epworth, who co-wrote and produced her massive hit “Rolling In The Deep”, to write “Skyfall” for the new film of the same name.
Stars who have missed out on the top spot with a Bond theme include Paul McCartney, Tom Jones and Madonna.
The film, again starring Daniel Craig as Bond, premieres on October 26, 2012. We can’t wait!

Weight gain is no fun for anyone especially if it’s caught on camera! So why is everyone obsessed over celebrities gaining weight?!
Apparently, Lady Gaga, like screen legend Sophia Loren, can credit spaghetti for her new curves. Diva fans will may recall actress, Sophia Loren once said, ”Everything you see I owe to spaghetti.”
Lady Gaga started her new tour in Amsterdam by admitting she has put on 25 pounds, Gaga says she’s not concerned; she’s an Italian girl from New York who loves to eat.
“I’m dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds,” Gaga told radio host Elvis Duran when she called into his show just before she hit the road. “And you know I really don’t feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It’s hard because it’s a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don’t like that. So I’m trying to find a new balance.”
Cruel critics have suggested that Gaga’s weight gain is the result of the amount of alcohol she consumes, but Gaga begs to differ, confirming it’s from her dad’s Italian cooking.
“I love eating pasta and pizza,” says Gaga. “I’m a New York Italian girl. That’s why I have been staying out of New York. My father [Joe Germanotta] opened a restaurant. It’s so amazing … it’s so freaking delicious, but I’m telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there. So my dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I’m, like, I’ve got to go where I can drink green juice.”

It’s been reported around the world that superstar and Divabetic fan favortie, Adele is singing the new Bond theme, but there’s no official confirmation.
So far there’s been on word from Sony Pictures, which distribute the Bond movies, or Eon Productions, the company in charge of Bond, despite the 23rd Bond film, Skyfall, due for release on 26 October 2012.
The latest from Sony regarding Adele singing the theme is a simple, “nothing confirmed, no comment.”
Adele herself dropped a hint during an interview on Jonathan Ross’ chat show on ITV1 in September 2011.
“I’m going back in the studio in November, fingers crossed,” Adele told Ross.
“Well this is actually a theme, what I’ve got to do for, um… Wow. That’s really giving something away isn’t it?”
When Ross then hummed the 007 theme music, Adele laughed and said, ‘No’ – but that could have been a nervous reaction.
The recording could have stalled last year as it was in November 2011 that Adele underwent throat surgery in America for a haemorrhaged vocal chord.
Then in April 2012, Adele told French radio station NRJ that she will have a new single out by the end of this year, but that an album was still two years away.
Releasing a one-off single, the Bond theme, would clearly fit that schedule.

“LeAnn has voluntarily entered a 30 day in-treatment facility to cope with anxiety and stress,” her rep Marcel Pariseau explained, as reported by People. While there will be speculation regarding her treatment, she is simply there to learn and develop coping mechanisms. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”
LeAnn Rimes was only 13 when she recorded her smash album BLUE, which introduced the world to a remarkably precocious talent whose voice was on a par with that of Patsy Cline. Ever since then, she’s gradually moved away from her traditional country beginnings–first toward a more contemporary country sound, and eventually to a straight-ahead pop approach not far removed from Mandy Moore or Jessica Simpson.

Mariah Carey‘s sparkling return to the US charts this week with her comeback track just didn’t have what it takes to shine. The single didn’t even crack the TOP 100. It actually debuted on the Billboard countdown at a less than impressive No.115.
The single sold 23,000 downloads in its first week of release to sell fewer copies than a bonus track from Beyonce’s 2011 album 4.” (Ouch!)
Before you feel start feeling sad for Mariah, the ‘Queen of Bling’ has a fairly successful fragrance line and HSN clothing and jewelry lines, a new gig working on American Idol, she’s filming another movie and she has a wonderful husband and loving family! Frankly, if the movie, Glitter wasn’t able to kill her career then there’s no way a bad single can either. As we like to say, “Don’t get down, get DIVA!”
