Do you like Nicki Minaj‘s over-the-top look? Turns out, the Lady Gaga of Rap herself isn’t even a fan.

The “Pink Friday” singer has fired her stylist, hairstylist and makeup artist, The Sun reports. Let’s just say she gave them the ‘pink’ slip. Her reason?

“Nicki is desperate to be taken seriously as an artist,” a source told the UK tabloid. “She’s fired her long-standing hairdresser who has been responsible for some of her crazy hairstyles over the years. She’s also fired her stylist. Nicki feels that now she’s done with ‘American Idol’ she can finally be taken seriously and release a proper hip-hop album.”

I don’t buy it. I think Nicki Minaj loves her crazy wigs and style. I’m sure the real reason will emerge shortly.

Our tenth Diva of Christmas is Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj And Taylor Swift to Rock American Music Awards

Queen Barbz aka Divabetic’s October Diva Inspiration, Nicki Minaj  is ready to get all dolled up for the stage!

Nicki Minaj is set to perform at the 40th Annual American Music Awards on Nov. 18, organizers announced Wednesday. She’s in good company: Other acts who’ll also be taking the stage include Taylor Swift andLinkin Park.

All three will be doing double duty, as they’re also up for various awards that night.

Minaj dominates all nominees with four nods apiece. (She tied with Rihanna.) Swift is up for Favorite Female Country Artist, while Linkin Park is in the running for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist.

President Obama is a Nicki Minaj Fan!

President Barack Obama appeared on Y100, a Miami radio station and spoke with the radio stations DJ, Michael “Yo” Simmons about several topics, including the feud on American Idol judgesMariah Carey and  Divabetic’s October Diva Inspiration, Nicki Minaj and the fact that he has Minaj on his iPod.

ABC News reported that Simmons asked Obama what he thought about the feud between Carey and Minaj. He replied that he thinks they are going to be able to work it out and that he is all about “bringing people together.” He mentioned that Mariah has done events for him in the past and her and she is a “wonderful lady.”

During the interview, the president said that he doesn’t know Nicki Minaj,

“But I’ve got her on my iPod.”

However, Nicki didn’t seem to care too much for Barack Obama. In a mix tape she made with Lil Wayne, she rapped,

“I’m a Republican voting for Mitt Romney, you lazy b*****s is f*****g up the economy.”

Orlando, FL radio station Power 95.3 asked Obama what he thought about Minaj’s rap. He responded that he wasn’t sure if Nicki was actually endorsing Mitt Romney in the rap. He also stated,

“I think think she had a song on there, that – a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters.”

Nicki later tweeted,

“Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do…”

Stevie Nicks Regrets Comments About Nicki Minaj

Stevie Nicks regrets her  recent comments about about Divabetic’s October Diva Inspiration, Nicki Minaj. 

“I want to apologize for my remarks about Nicki Minaj‘s behavior toward Mariah Carey which I said during a long and exhausting day of interviews,” the iconic Fleetwood Macfrontwoman said today after catching heat for saying she would have “walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there” if the hip-hop diva had confronted her the way she did Carey.

“It was very out of character for me and I deeply regret what I said,” Nicks added. “I feel very protective toward Mariah Carey who has gone through many difficulties in her life and I spoke without thinking. I think all artists should be respectful toward one another and that includes me. I am truly sorry.”

Nicks commented on the American Idol judges’ little spat during an interview with The Daily to promote her new documentary, In Your Dreams.

The singer also said that she would not like to be a judge—but, even if she had to drag Lindsey Buckingham“kicking and screaming” with her, she would “absolutely” try out for Idol, The X Factor or The Voice if they were just getting started because “that’s how you get seen these days.”

Nicki Minaj Leads American Music Award Nominations

Divabetic’s October Diabetes Roundtable’s Diva Inspiration, Nicki Minaj and R&B star Rihanna led nominations for the American Music Awards with four apiece edging out stiff competition from pop sensations Justin Bieber and One Direction.

Nicki Minaj scored two nominations for her album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” in both the pop/rock and rap/hip hop categories this year, as well as a nomination for favorite rap artist, alongside Drake and American newcomer Tyga.

Rihanna, 24, was nominated in the top category – artist of the year – where she will compete with Bieber, Katy Perry, pop-rockers Maroon 5 and Canadian rapper Drake.

She also won nods for female soul/R&B artist and album for “Talk That Talk,” and will battle Minaj, 29, in the female pop/rock artist category.

Nicki Minaj And Keith Urban Join American Idol

Meet the new Fantatic Four. It’s official! Mariah Carey will be in good company at the American Idol judges’ table.

In addition to Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey will be joined by Divabetic’s Diva Inspiration for October, Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban on the panel when the singing competition’s 12th season debuts in January.

“It’s really an honor to have been invited to be a part of the American Idol family,” Urban, 44, says. “I’m looking forward to working with everyone and to seeing the same passion that I have for music in all of the participants.”

Nicki Minaj, 29, whose addition to the show was buzzed-about last month, teased her Twitter followers earlier in the weekend with a vague promise for “info tmrw…”  She’ll also have the honor of being showcased on Divabetic’s upcoming podcast, Diabetes Roundtable scheduled for Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Nicki’s love of PINK is inspiring host, Mr. Divabetic to salute all the Breast Cancer survivors living with diabetes. The half-hour whirlwind of wellness also includes expert advice on food, fitness and fashion.

Nicki Minaj’s pink afro makes the cover of Allure Magazine fabulous! The Roman Reloaded rapper dons the frazzled curls with a pastel ensemble and divulges how she dropped a few extra pounds without the help of exercise.

“I’m naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off. And I hate working out. I can’t stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.”

“I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of. So that’s why I’m only about to put out my second album and I’m already thinking about this,” says Nicki Minaj.
