Instead, the 19-year-old has chopped off her locks in favour of an edgy shaved undercut.
Miley initially tweeted a picture of herself at the moment her ballet bun was to be chopped off.
It wasn’t long before she received backlash from fans, with the Party In The USA singer quickly defending her decision.
She wrote: ‘if you don’t have something nice to say don’t say anything at all. my hair is attached to my head no one else’s and it’s going bye bye
