Ellen  Resnick, is a past guest of Diva Talk Radio. She is a psychotherapist in private practice in San Francisco and Redwood City. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and incorporates the use of mindfulness (paying attention in a particular way—on purpose, in the present moment, and without judgment) into the treatment of depression, anxiety, and emotional overeating. Ellen is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the department of psychiatry at UCSF where she worked from 1995-2003 specializing in women’s mental health issues and brief treatment with men and women. 


Ellen is also the director of a weight loss program called the Center for Thoughtful Weight Loss, a CBT and mindfulness program that is helping people to lose weight and keep it off for good.
